Starting on Friday (October 10), Pollack Cinemas will show The Addams Family (1991). The sequel, Addams Family Values (1993), will be shown at Harkins on October 31 and November 1 as part of its Fright Nights series.
On Friday (October 10) and Saturday (October 11), Harkins will show Poltergeist (1982) as part of its Fright Nights series.
On Tuesday (October 14), Harkins will show A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) as part of its Tuesday Night Classics series. The next day (October 15), Cinemark will show A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) as part of its Fear of Missing Out series.
On Thursday (October 16), ASU MIX Center will have a free screening of Carnival of Souls (1962) as part of its Horror Films series.

Pollack Cinemas
- The Addams Family (1991) and The Omen (1976) are the new classic movies for this week.
- Casper (1995), Donnie Darko (2001), and Hocus Pocus (1993) have been held over for another week.
- According to a flyer at the theater, the annual Free Christmas Movie Night will be on November 13. This year's movies are Elf (2003), Home Alone (1990), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), and The Polar Express (2004). More information about it should be posted on their Facebook page when it gets closer to November 13.
FatCats
- Tickets for Friday the 13th (1980) on October 13-16 are on sale now at FatCats and Fandango.
Mesa Arts Center
- According to the Mesa Arts Center website, The Princess Bride screening with Cary Elwes has been rescheduled to February 6, 2026.
IMAX
- Rolling Stones: At the Max (1991) will be re-released in IMAX theaters on December 10. Tickets will go on sale October 23.

Fathom Entertainment
- Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 2.1 (2004) have been extended another week at Cinemark. The last day to see them is October 15.
Universal Re-Releases
- Casper (1995) has been extended another week. It will continue to be shown at AMC, Harkins, and Pollack Cinemas. The last day to see it is October 16.
Warner Re-Releases
- According to Deadline, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) will be re-released in theaters for its 25th anniversary in 2026.

Majestic
- Tickets are on sale now for Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) (35mm screening) at the Tempe location on November 17-18.
RoadHouse Cinemas
- Tickets are on sale now for Gremlins (1984) on December 8 and 10 and Elf (2003) on December 15 and 17.
ASU MIX Center
- The ASU MIX Center will have a free screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) on October 10. More information about the screening is on their website and Instagram.
Universal Re-Releases
- The trailer for a 25th anniversary re-release of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) is being shown at this weekend's screenings of Casper (1995). No date is given in the trailer ("Back in theaters this holiday season") but it will most likely be in December and at the same theaters showing Casper (1995).

October 3 - Last Week's Highlights:

On Friday (October 3), Regal will show Friday the 13th: Part 3 (1982) in its original 3D.
On Friday (October 3), Universal will release Casper (1995) in theaters for a week for its 30th anniversary.
On Sunday (October 5 aka James Bond Day), Harkins will show Goldfinger (1964) at Scottsdale 101 14. It doesn't look like GoldenEye (1995) is going to be shown at Cinemark on the same day unless it is added to the schedule at the very last minute.
On Sunday (October 5), Majestic will show Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) in 35mm at the Tempe location.
On Monday (October 6) through Thursday (October 9), FatCats will show Beetlejuice (1988). This will probably be the only screening of this movie in the Phoenix area this Halloween (not counting Harkins' Moonlight Cinema outdoor screening on October 31 and November 1).
On Tuesday (October 7), there will be a 50th anniversary screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) with Barry Bostwick at ASU Gammage.
On Wednesday (October 8), Majestic will show Mars Attacks! (1996) at the Tempe location as part of Majestic's History of the Future series.
